He’s worked on hundreds of commercial & corporate productions, as well as music video & film. About the WIF-PDX / Faerie Godmother Production Grant

The purpose of the WIF-PDX/FG Production Grant is to support women working in media in Oregon and SW Washington (Clark County.) The goal of this grant is to provide financial support aiding in the production or completion of a consequential piece of work, while helping to advance the artist’s vision and craft.

The awardee will receive:

• $3000 Cash Award

• Legal services with Entertainment Attorney Candice E. Jackson

• A complimentary screening venue (200 seat capacity) for your completed film, including light catering.

• Two full festival passes to the 2013 POWFest and the 2013 Ashland Independent Film Festival.

• Two Patron Level (includes VIP reception) passes to the 2013 Voices lecture series, celebrating women’s leadership around the world.

This Thursday night MOPAN Presents will be “Talking Talent” with Stacie Sisk, the owner of Moonlight Talent and Larry Overman of Take 2 Productions.  They will be sharing stories of their upcoming productions and discussing the talent industry. Sisk and Overman recently collaborated to cast a reality television series slated to launch in late fall. Since the original casting for the new television series, Overman and Sisk have joined forces with Take 2 Productions, LLC in Portland, OR.  Currently there are plans to open a Lane County office within the next couple of months.

MOPAN Presents will meet at the Hole In The Wall BBQ in Springfield. Pre-meeting social at 6:30 followed by the meeting at 7pm.  If you have questions about casting or how to hire talent these are the people to ask!

In advance of the first ever tax credit auction for the Oregon Production Investment Fund, the Governor’s Office of Film and TV plans to hold a series of informational meetings regarding the auction.  On April 27 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, Executive Director Vince Porter will be in Eugene to provide information and answer questions about the new auction format.  The meeting is open to the public.  Below is the address of the meeting:

Regardless of what you know, think you know, or don’t know about three of Eugene’s annual film festivals, April’s MOPAN meeting is sure to teach you something new, turn you on to some great cinema, and provide you a great opportunity to network with like-minded people in the media industry.  April and May is peak season for film lovers in Eugene, and we will have reps from The Archaeology Channel International Film and Video Festival, the DisOrient Film Festival, and Cinema Pacific all under one roof!  Come enjoy great food, drink and people and learn about these great organizations.

Dr. Richard Pettigrew of The Archaeology Channel International Film and Video Festival will talk about the history of the festival and highlight this year’s happenings.  The Archaeology Film Festival is May 8-12.

Dr. Anselmo Villanueva will present on The DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon.  The festival began in Eugene in 2006.  The DisOrient Film Festival is April 27-29, with a special kick-off event on April 13.

A rep from Cinema Pacific will also be on hand to talk about the many events and opportunities during the April 17-21 function.
