<p>About the WIF-PDX / Faerie Godmother Production Grant</p>
<p>The purpose of the WIF-PDX/FG Production Grant is to support women working in media in Oregon and SW Washington (Clark County.) The goal of this grant is to provide financial support aiding in the production or completion of a consequential piece of work, while helping to advance the artist’s vision and craft.</p>
<p>The awardee will receive:</p>
<p>• $3000 Cash Award</p>
<p>• Legal services with Entertainment Attorney Candice E. Jackson</p>
<p>• A complimentary screening venue (200 seat capacity) for your completed film, including light catering.</p>
<p>• Two full festival passes to the 2013 POWFest and the 2013 Ashland Independent Film Festival.</p>
<p>• Two Patron Level (includes VIP reception) passes to the 2013 Voices lecture series, celebrating women’s leadership around the world.</p>
<p>• WIF-PDX support of your project through our newsletter, website, and Facebook page.</p>

Sisk and Overman recently collaborated to cast a reality television series slated to launch in late fall. <div>About the Oregon Production Investment Fund (OPIF) &#8211; Since 2007 the Oregon Production Investment Fund has been the primary tool to recruit film and television production to Oregon.  Thanks to the program, the total amount of film and television production spending in Oregon last year was over $100million, nearly double the previous record.  OPIF is funded through an allocation of state tax credits made available at the beginning of every fiscal year.  Beginning in July 2012, these tax credits ($6million annually) will be sold via an online auction.If you have any questions about the informational meeting or the auction, please call Vince Porter at (503) 229-5832.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Cinema Pacific, The Archaeology Channel, DisOrient.  Perhaps you&#8217;ve heard of them but never been.  Perhaps you&#8217;re a regular attendee or participant.  Maybe you think you&#8217;ve got nothing to gain from a film festival.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Regardless of what you know, think you know, or don&#8217;t know about three of Eugene&#8217;s annual film festivals, April&#8217;s MOPAN meeting is sure to teach you something new, turn you on to some great cinema, and provide you a great opportunity to network with like-minded people in the media industry.  April and May is peak season for film lovers in Eugene, and we will have reps from The Archaeology Channel International Film and Video Festival, the DisOrient Film Festival, and Cinema Pacific all under one roof!  Come enjoy great food, drink and people and learn about these great organizations.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">Dr. Richard Pettigrew of The Archaeology Channel International Film and Video Festival will talk about the history of the festival and highlight this year&#8217;s happenings.  The Archaeology Film Festival is May 8-12.</p>
<p>Dr. Anselmo Villanueva will present on The DisOrient Asian American Film Festival of Oregon.  The festival began in Eugene in 2006.  The DisOrient Film Festival is April 27-29, with a special kick-off event on April 13.</p>
<p>A rep from Cinema Pacific will also be on hand to talk about the many events and opportunities during the April 17-21 function.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>To our Oregon friends and patrons: You have only through April 14 to order discounted advance ticket packages ($50) for he ninth annual edition of The Archaeology Channel International Film and Video Festival, which will take place in the Recital Hall at The Shedd in downtown Eugene during May 8-12, 2012.  The package price goes up to $60 on April 15.</p>
<p>Advance ticket purchasers for Festival ticket orders of $20 or more will receive a free 2012 Mayan Calendar (while they last) designed by the Maya Exploration Center and featuring Mayan Glyphs for modern dates. <p>Advance ticket sales will be by reservation.  We will not mail you the tickets, but rather hold them for you to be picked up when you come to the show.
